Participant-directed services · For facilitators
Which DDS codes can be participant directed?
Every DDS service code, split into the ones with a participant-directed (PDS) or Parent Coordinated option and the ones without, with the rate for each option at your regional center. Rates effective 1 July 2026.
Codes with a PDS or Parent Coordinated option
The agency or vendor code on the left, and the participant-directed or Parent Coordinated code that can stand in for it. Rate shown is 1:1 per hour at the center you picked.

Codes with no PDS or Parent Coordinated option
None of these has a participant-directed or Parent Coordinated code. “DDS rate” means the code has a rate in the July 2026 workbooks; the rest are set another way, such as usual and customary, negotiated or a Medi-Cal schedule.

- DDS calls the second model Parent Coordinated (073 and 093), not participant coordinated. It has its own sub codes (1S0, 2S0, 3S0) and an overtime rate.
- DDS publishes an overtime rate for 093, 073, 465 and 475, at every staffing ratio, each with its own overtime sub codes. Neither the July 2026 workbooks nor the rate models carry an overtime rate for 456, 457 or 458.
- Employer of Record (sub codes 10E, 20E, 30E on 062, 520, 862 and 952) is not PDS. The agency hires the person the family refers and bills the agency rate.
- Day care (455), nursing (460) and transportation (470) are participant directed but have no posted DDS rate; D-2024-Rate Reform-013 REV leaves them on the method in Title 17, section 58888.
- 459 has no hourly rate. The FMS pays the provider’s own charge, and the provider must not be vendored and must serve mostly people outside the regional center system.
- The FMS fee is separate: 490 Fiscal/Employer Agent $160 and 491 Co-Employer $265 per person per month.
